I graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1970 with a Degree in Mechanical Engineering. After my wife completed her degree, I accepted a job with Procter & Gamble in Alexandria, Louisiana.

From Louisiana we moved to California and after seven years there we moved back to Tulsa for a short period of time. We then moved to Chicago.

While in Chicago, I returned to Oklahoma at least twice a year to visit family and friends and knew when I retired I would return to Oklahoma. After retiring in 2006, I moved to Norman. My wife and I always considered Oklahoma as our home, partially due to family roots, but we also enjoy the culture and the people.

We have watched Oklahoma grow from a distance for many years. We enjoy the athletic events, plays, community activities, and University of Oklahoma related events that are within minutes of our home. Not only are there many things to do, it is also very affordable. Even though there has been a significant change in Oklahoma, the friendly, helpful nature of the community remains.

A pleasant surprise upon returning to Oklahoma was the progressive actions being taken at the state and local level to promote technology and new business initiatives. I have become involved with the Center for the Creation of Economic Wealth at the University of Oklahoma and work with students to evaluate and develop University technologies. There are ample opportunities to bring my experience to a very diverse group of technologies and create jobs and wealth for the state while having a lot of fun doing it.
