Shortly after finishing my French studies I received my diploma and took a job as a travelling consultant with the possibility of overseas assignments.
I spent 3 years living and working in London and throughout Europe. I thoroughly enjoyed my overseas experience but as time went on I missed my family and honestly grew to realize how inconvenient and terribly expensive London was. In leaving London, I considered moving to either coast or Texas where most of my friends were.
Eventually I came to the conclusion that I wanted to be close to my family so I moved back to Edmond. It took an adjustment but once I started my new job and reconnected with old friends I started to see and experience all that had changed while I was away.When I lived in London my mom would tell me about the changes in Bricktown or her trips to the arts festival or farmers market. I didn’t really pay attention until I got home and realized all the things I loved about living in a big city were in my home state. I could also afford to do them and buy a house! With a YARD! I am so happy to be able to have Sunday dinner with my family and be a part of all that is Oklahoma.
