I graduated from the University of Oklahoma in spring of 2002 and could not wait to get out of Oklahoma. Many of my peers told me Oklahoma had nothing to offer after college and I believed them.

After graduation, I landed a great job opportunity in San Francisco for a Fortune 200 company. Nine months later I moved to San Diego.

Despite all my success with my career and the fun and sun on the weekends, I felt like something was missing. After 3 1/2 years in California, my heart was still back in Oklahoma.

I woke up one day and thought “enough is enough”, I’m moving back to Tulsa! I was offered in excess of $250,000 to stay and I just couldn’t do it…

I’m very glad I moved back. I enjoy a successful career in real estate. My sales training and experience in California proved very useful here. I am also heavily involved with the Tulsa’s Young Professionals (TYPros) which has helped me get “plugged in” to Tulsa very quickly.

I can’t say enough good things about where I live now. I speak for TYPros on the benefits of living in Tulsa. I use my experience of leaving here and realizing how great it is in Oklahoma and Tulsa after being somewhere else to hopefully convince others to give this place a chance.
