Growing up here, I left Oklahoma after graduating from OU in 1998 to head west and find bigger cities, a new landscape, and new people. I eventually found those things in Los Angeles and lived there for 9 years. I eventually got married, bought a home, and had children.

In 2007, growing tired of the traffic, the high cost of living, the lack of good public schools, and the distance from our family, we moved back to Oklahoma. We had been watching Oklahoma for a few years and noticed a resurgence of activity including social, home, and job availability.

Most people that own property outside of Oklahoma have the opportunity for a very nice upgrade to their living conditions should they sell and relocate here. They can also expect a shorter daily commute time and reduction in their overall cost of living expenses.

We are happy to live in a good public school system, to be nearer to family, and to have a nice affordable house with a yard and an attached garage. We have all this and are still able to enjoy the good restaurants, entertainment, outdoor activities, and comparable salaries Oklahoma has to offer. It was nice to live somewhere else for a change, but I have no regrets whatsoever about returning to Oklahoma. This is home.
